To ensure a shiny finish for a recent cover shoot, Maderich turned supermodel Gisele Bündchen's naturally curly hair silky smooth by reaching for a silicone serum. Quench winter hair at home by smoothing conditioner under a shower cap before bedtime. "It's eight hours of deep conditioning," says Maderich. Summer Lovin' It may be the perfect season for a wedding, but the sun and swimming can sabotage a bride's style. Just as you would for your skin, "always use a leave-in conditioner with a high SPF to protect your tender tresses from the sun's harmful rays," advises Maderich. When taking a dip after lounging poolside, he also suggests wearing a swim cap. "And for extra shine, coat hair with a deep conditioner before slipping on the cap for a quick deep-conditioning treatment." Let Love Shine Radiate light with an at-home trick Maderich recommends, "Keep a spray bottle filled with vinegar and water in your shower and give your tresses as spritz during your final rinse for shine, shine and more shine." Put color treatments on hold for a few months before the big day to give your hair a break from the chemicals and to restore natural nutrients. One chemical cure that gets the green light? "To guarantee healthy shiny hair for your trip down the aisle, opt for a 'no-color' salon shine treatment two days before the ceremony," suggests Maderich.
